How to apply for bsc in IIT madras?
Since last year onwards in the category BSc has been offering programming and data science through online. However it is mandatory to pass the qaulify exam before joining this course.
After the Foundation, then the Diploma and finally the Degree- BSc degree will be awarded to those who have completed all these stages.
How to do bsc in iit?
In order to qualify for the qualifier examination, a minimum score of 4 basic level courses in English, Maths for Data Science, Statistics for Data Science and Computational Thinking is required for a period of four weeks. Two or three hours of video lessons per week are provided on each subject. Each course has assignments.
These have to be completed online within the stipulated time. Only those who qualify will be allowed to write the qualifier test. General candidates should get 40% marks, OBCs 35%, SC, ST and Divyangs 30% marks in assignments.
The qualifier test is conducted for a period of 4 hours. Each course lasts for an hour. Those who qualify will be admitted to the Foundation Level Course. The number of courses to be taken in the first two terms is determined based on the score obtained in the qualifier exam.
Those who have achieved fifty percent (50% marks) will have the opportunity to join 2 courses, those who have achieved up to 70 will have the opportunity to join 3, and those who have achieved above 70 will have the opportunity to join 4 courses.
The number of courses completed in the next two terms is determined by the score achieved in the first two terms.
Can i do bsc in iit?
Video lessons recorded weekly are released. Each course is offered for ten hours a week. These videos include weekly assignments. These must be completed on time. Each course consists of 3 quizzes. There will be term exams at the end of the course. Each course has one assignment per week.
Achieving the minimum score will allow you to write the test at the end of the term. It is also mandatory to qualify in at least one of the 3 quizzes to write term exams. Those who join the course are required to appear for the quiz and term examinations at the town center of their choice. This course is offered in full English.
Must have desktop or laptop, internet connection. It is better to have an understanding of Google tools. There will be a Discussion Forum in each course for the candidates to clear their doubts.
Who is eligible to join bsc in IIT?
Must have read Maths and English in ten. Must have completed Inter? or equivalent level course. Those who have read the three-year diploma are eligible.
Those who have completed two-year vocational courses and inter or equivalent courses through the Open School are eligible. Those who are currently studying final year courses can also apply. By the time the Foundation course begins, one must have joined a Bachelor degree course.
Those who are currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree, those who have completed and those who have dropped out in the middle can join.
