What is NEET and know more details
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a written test required for BPC students to gain admission in the medical field either in India or other country. For past exams, there is no big difference in the procedures for this neet exam pattern. This year due to the COVID the students missed out on physical study in the senior inter. Awareness on water is essential in these situations!
How to prepare to qualify neet exam 2021
NEET aspirants should consider writing the exam and thereby securing a seat in medical and dental colleges as two different things. You can get a seat in any category in any college if you get the minimum qualified score through NEET entrance exam. Qualifying in NEET is mandatory qualification to study medical education in other country.
NEET exam pattern
The NTA has not yet clarified on the NEET UG-2021 policy. NEET-2020 Question Paper is 180 questions- 720 marks (Physics 45 questions, 180 marks, Chemistry 45 questions, 180 marks, Biology 90 questions 360 marks). All the above questions are multiple choice questions with four options, Single Correct Answer / Best Option. (+4 marks for correct answer, -1 marks for incorrect answer).
Like JEE main NEET exam also has the option of giving multiple choice questions.
This multiple choice questions can also be divided into two segments in each subject and 5 questions can be given in the second section as the first section answers all the questions. On this the NTA will have to wait for an official notification. In this method 5 questions in Physics, 5 questions in Chemistry and 10 questions in Biology can be chosen for a total of 200 questions.
However it is easy to qualify in NEET exam. If you look at the qualifying marks of the last three years, you will get an understanding of which mark will be qualified.
How to calculate NEET cut off marks?
General Category Student Qualification requires 50 percentile. That is, the marks of all the students who have written the neet exam are arranged in ascending order and the neet cut off marks for the year in which the middle student, i.e. the student in the 50th percentile, achieves that mark is determined. The cut-off mark for the last four years is between 119 and 147 (for 720 marks).
Therefore- Achieving this mark is easy even for a normal student. This mark can be achieved by prioritizing and reading only one subject with proper planning with understanding. Biology for example is considered easy by a (Biology-Physics-Chemistry) BPC student.
So, if it is limited to NCERT books and the sentences in those books can be read as questions, even a normal student can find correct answers to 70-80 questions out of 90 questions. 81 to 84 NEET questions from the last three years are sentences from the NCERT books. Even if an average of 75 questions are considered to be written correctly, the student will not only qualify but also have a chance of securing a seat in some autonomous universities or private medical colleges.
Increasing NEET competition level
Awareness on exam for neet has been growing for three years. Competition in neet is also on the rise. Last year, up to 16,50,000 people attended NEET. To increase the neet competition level - the first rank mark, the increase in the number of students with high marks is evidence!
How much to score in NEET for MBBS
To get a seat in the first category AIQ, one has to score over 580 out of 720 marks.
How much to score in NET for government college
Those who have secured more than 520 marks in neet exam are eligible to get a seat in Government Medical College, when neet aspirants who have scored more than 510 marks can take seat in Private Category-A i.e private colleges and more than 300 marks in Category B and C are also eligible for getting seats.
Students who rank up to 60,000 nationally level are eligible for a seat in some medical colleges. This means that in order to join MBBS, you have to be prepared to get at least 500 marks in NEET. This means giving the highest priority to Biology and mastering at least 80 of the 90 questions.
This means that if you get 80 marks in Biology 4 = 320 marks, then if you practice to identify up to 40 out of 45 questions in Chemistry, 160 marks will come in Chemistry.
It will be much easier if the physics department analyzes the questions of the last three years. Even here all the models can easily come up with up to 40 questions if they can achieve the calculations in a little NCERT textbook.
Last year most students got higher marks in physics than in chemistry. If you aim for 600 marks like this, you can easily get over 500 and get a medical seat.
Neat is in August. From now on students should plan this time in their favor. There are inter-secondary year exams in May. From now until the completion of those examinations, the second year syllabus should be prepared in objective and descriptive type.
The first year syllabus should be given priority and revised at the end of the inter examinations. And then if you can write at least 10 grand tests it will be like being fully prepared for the final exam!
