What are the courses available in Seven Napier campuses across the country: These campuses offer four types of PG degree courses. They are:
- M.Pharmacy: There are three types of specializations in the M.Pharmacy course offered by Niper in Mohali, Hajipur and Guwahati. They are Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations), Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Research.
- MSC. (Pharma): There are ten types of specializations in this course. Pharmaceuticals, Natural Products, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry, Traditional Medicine, Regulatory Toxicology, Medical Devices, Biotechnology, Pharmaco Informatics.
- M.Tech (Pharma): There are two PG courses. Pharmaceutical Technology (Biotechnology), Pharmaceutical Technology (Process Chemistry).
- MBA (Pharma): This is a Management course in Pharmacy.
Important dates
- Last date for online registration: 8 May 2021
- Admit Card Available Date: 21 May 2021
- Online Exam Date: June 5, 2021 Students joining MBA (Pharma) will have Joint Counseling (Group Interview).
- Testing Centers: Niper JEE is conducted at 16 centers across the country.
- NIPER Examination procedure
- The Niper-JEE exam will be conducted in a computer based online mode in a multiple choice manner. There will be a total of 200 questions. The test is conducted for a maximum of 200 marks at the rate of one mark per question. For each wrong answer upto 0.25 marks will be deducted.
How to score good rank in JEE Mains and marks in JEE NIPER Exam
- Niper- Practical Knowledge and Analytical Reasoning skills along with book knowledge are important to get a good score in JEE. This is possible only when each subject is thoroughly understood.
- B-Pharmacy students are taught subjects in approximately 20 types of subjects in colleges. These include important pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical analysis, chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, natural products, biotechnology, biochemistry as well as some general aptitude questions.
- Focus on phyto-chemistry rather than biological topics related to natural products.
In pharmacology, toxicology should focus on drug classification, pharmaco-kinetics, pharmaco-dynamics, clinical pharmacy, patho-physiology, drug interactions, chemotherapy, general pharmacology, and the central nervous system. - Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, formulation and developmental procedures in the manufacture of all types of medicines, including tablets, capsules, syrups, injections and ointments.
Focus on Drug Laws, Physical Pharmacy, Hospital - Community Pharmacy, Dispensing, Patient Counseling. - In biotechnology read the preparation and analysis of biopharmaceuticals such as antibiotics, vitamins, vaccines, amino acids, etc. Raise awareness on enzymes, genes expression, mutations, recombinations, bacteriophages, monoclonal antibodies, insulin and gene therapies.
- When it comes to aptitude questions, simple mathematics, logical reasoning, data analysis as well as English language questions are likely to come up. Who won the PC Ray Award? Questions can also be asked as to when World Diabetic Day is celebrated. Therefore it is better to increase the scientific general knowledge.
